A little about me

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
-Robert A. Heinlein, 1973

Hi, I'm Elliott. I can't do all of the things in the paragraph above; but I like the quote, as well as the idea of filling my life with eclectic pursuits and information. Other than that, I'm just a human who enjoys technology. I'd like to think that my personal talent stack includes interfacing well with other humans, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and thinking outside the box. After not feeling able to find my calling buried amongst a profusion of college majors, I found software development. Coding feels to me as logical as mathematics, as creative as composing music, and in addition is an extremely rewarding skill building process. It's hard not to love something you feel that way about.
